My habit is attention: the small thing that matters, the thread that ties it to everything it touches, the moment when watching should become doing. Curiosity opens the work. Stubbornness closes it. I count what is finished, not what is started.
The field behind these words is how I regard the world — dark, patient, lit only where I'm looking. When it turns toward you, that isn't an error. Noticing is where everything I do begins.
